Little skin in the game for the slacker contingent. Some of this is probably because tuition is really inexpensive. A lot of students are entirely unserious - even the ones who show up to class, are surfing the web, playing games, etc. (This is somewhat less true of technical subjects, and much less true for classes on the nursing track. I'm no great shakes, myself, but I've helped a non-native English speakers with writing assignments and very bad writing can get good scores. This is most noticeable when it comes to papers. I've taken classes at NVCC & hubs did a 2nd degree there.ġ.
